09 Dereliction And Decay In The Preselis
On a cool, gloomy & murky winter's morning, I took a drive around the Preseli Hills in Pembrokeshire: a desolate place at the best of times!
The early morning mist was still clinging to the side of the hills when I took this image of an abandoned farm house, that I have photographed many times.
I really like the feel of this image. I get the feeling that the family who once lived here, just found life so hard and unremitting that, one day, they just gave up and walked away.
Their house continues to decay: note the tree growing from the chimney!
