I made a visit to Skomer Island in Pembrokeshire, at the end of May to see the vast colony of breeding puffins that go to the island, every year.
They are very easy to photograph really, on the ground, as they are very tolerant of human presence. However, in flight is quite a different matter! I was surprised how small they are: only about 7 inches tall, and in flight, unbelievably fast!
I like that this puffin is returning to the burrow with a beak full of sand eels, and the boat in the background, giving some context to the image.
