I love wandering around the wild and rugged St David's Head in North Pembrokeshire. There are quite a number of wild Welsh mountain ponies living up here. On this particular day, I came across a group of them, just grazing and minding their own business. I found a composition that I liked, with the shape of the land, and the islands on the horizon, and waited.
I didn't have long to wait for one of the ponies to amble in to the frame, and what's more, he posed! I particularly like the way in which the slope of the ponies back mirrors the slope of the hill.
